Reef Soldiers is a nonprofit that is committed to serving our nation’s veterans and family members who suffer from military service-related PTSD.
Positively Impact
We will positivity impact our service members and reduce veteran PTSD and suicide by providing purpose and meaningful community service with an emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie.
Coastal Conservation
Reef Soldiers will conduct coastal conservation missions, marine debris removal processes, coral restoration/rehabilitation, and invasive species removal.
An Emphasis on Personal Growth

Captain Chris Simon
Senior Chief Simon began his Naval career immediately following the 9/11 attacks. It was at this time where his passion for patriotism and service grew.
He excelled during all phases of training and graduated Aviation Mechanic school in Pensacola, Florida, and received orders to NAS Oceana, Virginia Search and Rescue Squadron.
He continued his Naval career Jacksonville, Florida, and served four years as an Airframe Quality Assurance Inspector. Based on his leadership while forward deployed he was selected as 2006 Sailor of the Year and served additional deployments to Okinawa, Iraq, Sicily, Qatar, and numerous other deployment locations.
