Captain Chris Simon
Senior Chief Simon began his Naval career immediately following the 9/11 attacks. It was at this time where his passion for patriotism and service grew.
He excelled during all phases of training and graduated Aviation Mechanic school in Pensacola, Florida, and received orders to NAS Oceana, Virginia Search and Rescue Squadron.
He continued his Naval career Jacksonville, Florida, and served four years as an Airframe Quality Assurance Inspector. Based on his leadership while forward deployed he was selected as 2006 Sailor of the Year and served additional deployments to Okinawa, Iraq, Sicily, Qatar, and numerous other deployment locations.
Senior Chief Simon was ordered to Pensacola, Florida, where he instructed over 4000 Aviation Mechanic Sailors and Marines. Notably, he was entrusted to author and deliver an Advanced Composite Repair curriculum to support the newly acquired Marine Corp F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
He was then selected as a member the U.S. Navy Blue Angel demonstration team, showcasing Naval precision to the American public. During this time, he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and received orders to Whidbey Island, Washington.
While detailed to Washington state, he earned his Safe-For-Flight designation and led hundreds of Sailors on countless missions to all corners of the globe and achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Senior Chief served four additional years as Maintenance Control Manager and three years as Quality Assurance Manager.
Senior Chief Simon’s personal awards include four Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medals, six Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals, expert marksman/riflemen, and Master Training Specialist. He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, earning his Masters in Aeronautical Science, and holds an FAA Airframes and Powerplants license. He is a licensed US Coast Guard Captain, a NAUI Divemaster and has a passion for the ocean and assisting veterans to achieve their goals.
